Pitchline is the data controller for personal data collected through the Pitchline app. This means we decide why and how your data is used.

What we collect and why

• Account data (email, display name, sign-in details from Google or Lovable if you use them) — to create and run your account. Legal basis: contract.
• Purchase records (which plan or item you bought, subscription status) — to unlock what you paid for. Legal basis: contract.
• Prediction picks and your display name — to run the free game and show the leaderboard publicly. Legal basis: contract.
• Preferences (follows, theme, clock) — stored on your device to personalise the app. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser info, usage and error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the app. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages you send us — to help you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling products, managing subscriptions, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. Paddle collects your payment details directly under its own privacy notice.
• Service providers who host and run the app (hosting, database, sign-in).
• Advertising partners such as Google AdSense, if ads are shown to you (not for Pro or Remove Ads users).
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting), and authorities where the law requires it.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. If advertising is enabled, Google may set cookies to show and measure ads; you can manage these in your browser or at Google Ad Settings.

Retention

We keep account and purchase data while your account is active and as long as needed for legal and tax purposes, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under US state privacy laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent. We don't sell your personal information. To use these rights, email us; we'll reply within 30 days.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data.
